Haifa Wehbe

Haifa Wehbe was born in Mahrouna, a small farming town in south of Lebanon on March 10, 1976. Haifa was born to a Lebanese father and an Egyptian mother. Haifa Wehbe grew up listening to Jazz and R&B  music.

At a very young age, Haifa Wehbe started her full-time career in modeling. Then, at the age of sixteen, she won the title of Miss South Lebanon. Haifa was also a runner-up at the Miss Lebanon competition when she was 19 years of age, but was disqualified later when it was discovered that she had already been married.

Haifa Wehbe starred in a music video clip “Erda bel naseeb” for the famous Arabic singer George Wassouf. By the year 1996, Haifa was appearing on magazine covers and in the year 2006 she was on the People’s Magazine’s 50 most beautiful people list.

In the year 2002, Haifa Wehbe released her first album “Houwa ElZaman” which included the hit song “Agoul Ahwak”. Haifa’s second album “Baddi Eesh” was released in the early 2005.  And in the year 2008, Wehbe released her third album “Habibi Ana”. After two years, in 2010 Haifa released a new album “Baby Haifa”. She is currently working on a new album “Bukra Bfarjeek”. Wehbe also released singles: “Ana Haifa”, “Bus El-Wawa”, "80 Million Ehsas", "Enta Tany", "Yama Layali", "Samaani", and "Badi Chouf Bi3einak Hob".

About Haifa’s television career: she showed up on the reality TV show “Al-Wadi” in the year 2005 along with other 14 Arabic celebrities. She also starred in the Pepsi produced film “Baher El-Noujoum” in 2008. And in 2009, Haifa Wehbe starred in the Egyptian drama film “Dukan Shehata”.

Haifa also performed with rapper 50 Cents in his concert in Lebanon. Haifa Wehbe and DJ David Vendetta released a song “Yama Layali” in April 2010.

Haifa has her own line of Jewellery. She married an Egyptian businessman on April 24, 2009.
